Sanfelices project presents promotional movie clips during the European Vocational Skills Week  #EUVocationalSkills #DiscoverYourTalent

Four Secondary and VET Education Schools, Community of Madrid, take part in the production of a feature film to be released in 2017

A feature film produced and filmed by VET students and teachers in the Community of Madrid: that is Sanfelices. This project was born in 2014 in Madrid, at Pradolongo School and with the collaboration of José Luis Garci College (Alcobendas). Today being on the marketing and advertising phases, Sanfelices joins the support of Angel Corella School (Colmenar Viejo) and Puerta Bonita College (Madrid).

This project has been developed for the last three years, it is a proposal for lifelong learning education and vocational education and training. That is why the project is committed to being part of the European Vocational Skills Week, which takes place from December the 5th to 9th.

In the map of events that the European Union has created and along with hundreds of very interesting didactic proposals, the launch of the film's trailer is included, as a presentation on how this experiment was produced and the way the different schools participated in it.

We have investigated low-budget independent film production formulas, being absolutely respectful to Spanish film industry, prevention of occupational hazards, gender equality and copyright. And now, having finished with the postproduction phase, we are working on the promotion, attendance at European festivals and search for the best possible release and distribution for 2017 year.

Today, December the 5th, we are launching from Alcobendas a Sanfelices' making of, with wich we present a part of our team and we would like to thank all those who have made it possible: hundreds of students, teachers and school administration boards, all those who have trusted us. It has also been essential the collaboration of people from the neighborhoods and towns in which we have filmed, as well as companies and institutions that have helped us during filming and postproduction. This Wednesday, December the 7th, we are going to make public a new video: the trailer of the film.

In 2015, from our participation in the Work in Progress section of the European Open Film Festival Pinamar (Argentina), we found the interest and support of a Dutch producer (Het Raam Digital Cinema) who has helped us in the image postproduction, visual effects and mastering edition to obtain copies for movie theaters and television networks.

Sanfelices is a story about Manuel, a young veterinary student living in Madrid. His life changes when his mother Elena suffers a stroke. After months of care and rehabilitation, Elena suffers a relapse. Mother and son travel to the small town of Sanfelices, the first place where she worked as a teacher, she fell in love, her son was born and the place they left when he was just a child. The time to answer Manuel´s questions, the ones he has been asking to himself for all these years, has arrived.

We hope these images show a preview of what we will see on big screens soon: a story of personal overcoming and affection, young people and families, truncated plans... and new dreams.
